Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has warned his supporters against engaging in chaos and violence during party nominations and during and after the 2017 General Elections. Speaking at Orange House when he met Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWD), Raila told those who are planning to cause violence of any kind during elections to stop attending his functions. He noted that violence during party elections and nomination scares away people with physical challenges and as such, he will not entertain any hooliganism in ODM or CORD rallies. “I want to assure you that all those who are known to be violent and planning to cause chaos during nominations will not be allowed to participate in the exercise.” “We will also disown them during the General Elections,” Raila told PLWD. The former PM urged PLWDs to offer themselves to run for elective positions in the coming election, including the Presidency.
